Music (CTP)
The Prerelease features several alternate tracks, some rough mixes of finals. They are named according to the Chrono Trigger Soundtrack. All were found and ripped via ROM hacking and ZSNES. A few of these tracks were also released with SNESMusic.org's Chrono Trigger .spc pack. These demos do not appear in the final ROM at all, and were a half-baked inclusion. Specifically, the demos included were 068, 049, 040, 014, 069, 046, 004, and 009.
Track 040 was meant to be used in the Tyrano Lair, but Nobuo Uematsu created Tyran Castle for the level after Mitsuda was hospitalized for an ulcer. The use of the other demo songs is generally obvious, except for 014 - Untitled, whose purpose is totally unknown.
Don't miss track 024, which is a full version of the Chrono Trigger attract. Whereas the completed game's .spc rip uses two tracks for the song Chrono Trigger, the Prerelease includes the full version in one file!
